Off to Ottawa

Yesterday was a great day even though I had to take my mom to the Dr and found out that she has Bronchitis. That is not good with someone that has Emphysema and is Diabetic. The Dr gave her medicine and said she should be fine...

On to the Great part...Mac and I went to Ottawa to met Speed and Sherri at Appleby's. They were on their way to Shawnee, Kansas to see their new grandson and the older one also...I guess they wanted to see the grownup kids too..lol
Mac wanted to wear his Sunday Dress, but I discouraged that. Thank Goodness...Speed showed up in jeans! Wouldn't of that been embarrassing...(to me) haha
We had a great visit! It seemed like we had known them forever instead of just meeting in person. Oh my gosh..it is scary how much Mac and Speedy have in common. I'm sure Sherri and I will have to keep a very close eye on them whenever they are together!! Sherri and I hit it right off also. We have a lot in common. We both love crafts and shoes! HaHa..
I was a little nervous about meeting them, but it was great! I don't know why I was nervous, maybe wondering if they would like us or if we would just fit in the group. But after just seeing them and the first introductions it was like we had known them forever...wonderful!!!
We sat and had something to drink and visited for only about an hour but they needed to get back on the road so they could get to their son's house and see those little ones. Mac and Speedy practically had to drag us out...we just couldn't quit talking..Sherri, we'll finish those conversations in Kerrville in March.
I wanted to take some photos so I checked my camera before we left and it was working fine. Mac got up to take the photo and the camera wouldn't stay on..The Battery Was Dead! Oh my gosh...but Speedy was right with it and took some and will email them to me...
Well, I better get off here, Chris and Dusty should be pulling in any time now...
Talk to you all in Chat!! Have a Great Weekend!

Motorhome or 5th Wheel???

We are still undecided on what to buy. We are leaning toward the 5th wheel again. We went to an RV dealer in Olathe Saturday and looked at more of each. We looked at a Itasca Ellipse 40TD and loved the floorplan. It has a front kitchen and makes the living area more like a home. It had a big 42" LCD or Plasma...didn't look at the TV that close. Problem is..it was a new coach and if we buy a motorhome we want to buy used. I loved it though. Also looked at the Heartland Bighorn 3670RL 5th wheel but still like the Heartland Landmark Augusta better. Same floorplan but with lots of upgrades standard. We also check out the HitchikerII but for the difference in cost, the Augusta is still a better 5th wheel.

Speedy, we didn't go to the RV show at Kansas Speedway as we found out that they were only having 3 RV dealers there and we have already looked at all of their RV's and dismissed them. Be glad that you didn't make the trip for that. There were like 4 Boat dealers there also.

Well, didn't get much accomplished at home this weekend. Watched the NASCAR race and did laundry..wooohooo!
Well the race is almost over and I need to get busy, Chris and Dusty will be here next weekend and I can't wait to see them and see for myself that she is doing better. She caught the stomach flu right after we came home and was sick for almost a week.
Everyone stay safe and have a Great Week!!

Cleaning out Closets

Last week was a short work week but seemed like it lasted forever...Things were crazy at home and work.

Friday finally came and our granddaughter came to spend the night and help me start cleaning out the back closets. We started on my bedroom walk in closet and we pulled everything out..clothes, shoes, purses..you name it we took it out. We boxed up about half of the shoes and clothes to get rid of. I still need to weed out more but right now I need some of it for work and some for play, so I will wait a little while for that.

Glo and I then worked on the spare room for a while. We have so much stuff..I never realized that we had soooo much stuff!

I talked to Chris on Saturday and she is feeling much better. She had her staples taken out on Wednesday and the Dr said she was doing really good. Hopefully he will release her to come up and see us the weekend of the 19th.

Well that's all for today. More work scheduled for this weekend...I may never get this all done. I only have about another month to get it all done so we can finish painting and get it on the market...
