Another Day...

Another day off and more sorting and packing. I think I have finished with the back bedroom....hmmm. I found things that I had forgotten we even had. haha. I found Easter baskets and surprises for the grandkids that probably have been there at least 2 - 3 years. I guess they won't get those.

I had some help today, so I acted as supervisor and told everyone what to do. I packed boxes and they carried them all to the designated piles in the basement.

Our daughter took some pictures for her walls and some kitchen stuff. She also took one of the oil paintings that I did several years ago. Whew..got rid of those...lol

I am beginning to think that I did not have food poisoning but a virus instead. I have felt crappy all week. Today was the first day that I really felt like doing anything.

Our daughter & Son-in-law from Amarillo, Tx called and invited us to a "Garage Party". They just finished building a new garage/party barn with all the goodies. 42" Plasma, kitchen, bathroom, and lots of room to do about anything that you want. It is on the 16th of August but Mac is working that day so we won't be able to go. Oh well, they will be here in September for a few days. We only see them about twice a year now. It will be nice when we get retired so that we can take our RV down there and stay for awhile to visit. Here's a photo of them.

Our granddaughter, Britny has been gone all last week to volleyball camp with her team. Her mom, our daughter, Dana took all the girls. Feel sorry for her being cooped up with 8-- 16 year olds. Here's a photo of Britny and our other granddaughter, Samantha. Brit on the left.

One of our other granddaughters, Natalie has been at her dad's house all summer and will be home tomorrow. Can't wait to see her.

I will eventually fill you in on all of our grandkids but that will take a while. We have 16 grandkids and 1 great granddaughter, Jaelynn. Ashley & Jaelynn's photo was in last weeks posts from their visit with us.

Mac's been working on the boat trying to get it cleaned up so we can put it on Craig's List.

Just doesn't seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything done.

I have taken a photo of our current TT. It is a 2003 Keystone Bobcat. The graphics were getting bad so we have stripped them and are waiting for the guy to come over and put some new ones on for us. We found some that have an actual Bobcat on them. It is about 70" long and I think will look pretty cool when finished.

Well I guess that is enough rambling for one day.

Food Poisoning

Well this has been a crappy weekend with no work getting done. I ate something on Friday night and ended up sick all night Friday and all day on Saturday. I think it was food poisoning. I don't remember feeling quite so bad in a long time.

All I did all day was lay around while Mac was at work..lol

We got up on Sunday and took my mom to Ottawa to take my brother out for lunch for his birthday. He lives in an assisted living facility in Ottawa. He had a heart attack back in 1996 and had by-pass surgery and had a major stroke 11 days later. Now he has no use in his right hand and arm and only has limited speech. He recently had congestive heart failure and that is what set off the move to assisted living. He has finally started settling in. It is a nice place and if I was in his situation, I wouldn't mind living there.

I am sooooo ready for this hot weather to go away. After going through chemo a few years ago, I just don't handle the heat as well anymore.

I have been researching companies that do Estate Sales so that we do not have to have a garage sale to get rid of all this stuff. So far not too much luck as there are no companies that are very close. 70 miles away is the closest, so I just keep sorting and labeling things to sell or give away.

Gregg is still working six 10 hour days so we haven't been able to get away much this summer. Our granddaughter and great granddaughter was here to visit for a couple of weeks. I was nice to spend time with the baby since we haven't been able to see much of her since she was 3 months old and lived with us for awhile. Jaelynn turned 1 on June 29th of this year but she has so much hair that everyone thinks she is older than that. I'm going to try to post a photo of them on here and hopefully it will work.lol

Well tomorrow is another work day...I am beginning to count down the months. I enjoy working for an Optometrist, but still looking forward to not working.
