On Monday, April 25th, Mac & I were up and out the door on our way to spend the day at the Grand Canyon.
It was a nice 50 something drive….
The first thing we did was go to the IMAX movie…WOW…it was amazing!
Here we are going through the gates to the Park
Afterwards, we went to the Visitor’s Center…
and then headed out to Mather Point Overlook….the views here are incredible. The altitude kind of got to both of us. I already had a cold so it seemed like I was really having to struggle to get some air..
and after a lot of walking, we headed back to Williams for a dinner date with John & Sandy at Pancho McGullicuty’s Mexican Restaurant.
The food was good, but the company was priceless…
After dinner, we said our goodbyes and promised to get together again in a few days as we were both going to Holbrook, AZ and staying in the same park.
On Tuesday, Mac and I left the RV about 9:30am on our way to Cottonwood,AZ to meet up with Bob & Molly for a trip to Jerome, AZ.
We kind of took the scenic route through Sedona, and Cottonwood Pass….Hwy 89A
and this was right downtown Sedona…
We met them in the Wal-Mart parking lot and jumped into their car for the trip to Jerome.
We browsed through several shops, but I think our favorite was one that had Kaleidoscopes, and Sand Art…
We took these photos through the lens…
Then Mac had to find a hat…
and some Salt & Pepper Shakers…
By then we were ready to leave and head back to Cottonwood for some lunch…on the way we took a few photos,
and Molly had to show that signs didn’t bother her….
We went to Hog Wild for lunch and it was very good. It was one of those out of the way places.
After lunch, we gave Bob & Molly hugs and headed back to Williams.
We’ve had a great time here in Williams, AZ.
Stay tuned for our account on our stay in Holbrook, AZ and our trip to the Painted Desert!
(((HUGS)))
