Saturday we were up and on our way to The Riverside Club for our Rio Grande Boat Cruise with the several friends from the Class of 2007. We had invited Nolan & Donna, Mark & Dortha, Kevin & Arlene, Rod & Deb and Chuck & Kathy to join us. Chuck & Kathy couldn’t make it.
We had reservations for the 2 hour cruise. As we were taking off we saw the Border Patrol Helicopter hovering in the background over some shrubbery…
and then we saw a Blazer…
and then we saw these nice guys in this boat racing down the river…hmmm…something must be up.
We saw turtles…
Kids on the riverbank…
a covered picnic area owned by Bentsen Palms…
and some really nice homes on the Mexico side of the river.
Also, a nice area that can be rented to have parties on the Mexico side….nice…
And finally we say a Polar Bear waving at us…if you look in the background you can see him…
After the cruise was over, we headed inside to have lunch ..
and celebrate
Arlene’s 60th birthday…Happy Birthday Arlene!!
We all had lunch and then headed back to have Cake & Ice Cream at Kevin & Arlene’s RV…yummy
Sunday we gathered at Mark and Dortha’s for food and some Super Bowl watching…
Great Food…
And then there was none….
We gave our hugs and goodbyes to Rod & Deb. They are heading to San Antonio on Monday to visit their son and family. After telling everyone else goodbye and making plans for the trip to South Padre on Monday we were off toward home.
Hugs to all!!

That's quite the birthday cake, I've had wells that had smaller flares on them than that one.
