We arrived at Defeated Creek COE Wednesday about 1:30 and started getting all set up. There was a problem with Kevin & Arlene’s site so they couldn’t pull in and set up. I won’t go in to the details of that…I will let her tell ya’ll the story..lol

This park is wonderful! We loved it back in July and I think it is even better now. The trees are just starting to change colors and our site backs up to the lake for a wonderful view.

I have only taken one photo here so far, but it sure tells the beauty of this place…

We just wanted to let everyone know that we are here and will stay until October 20th. Then we will make our way back to Garnett to see the kids and grandkids…also for a few doctor’s appointment and some tests that need to be done.

We enjoyed a nice Happy Hour and dinner on Wednesday evening with Kevin & Arlene, Tony & Lisa, Paul & Mary, Jim & Ellie, Doug & JoAnn, Ben & Rebbie, Freddie & his wife(sorry her name escapes me right now). We caught up on all the things we have missed with everyone…

Thursday we had decided to have Eggs in a Bag for dinner. Some of the group had other plans for dinner. We all brought our eggs and a topping. I made a Hash Brown Casserole to go along with the omelets. They were very good! We just hung out and visited and set around the campfire.

Today we are just kicking back again and relaxing. I have to say it is very nice after the very busy 6 weeks in Indiana. This place just makes you want to sit in your lawn chair, stare at the lake and relax.

Tonight we have planned to have Hamburgers for dinner. John & Sandy are arriving today, I think and that makes it easy for all of us and they don’t have to worry about cooking dinner.

We will be doing some exploring in the next week or so, so I will have some photos to share with you.
