Our First Week In The Valley

Wow! I can’t believe that we have been in Mission, TX for a week already!

We have settled in at Seven Oaks RV Resort and have been relaxing and spending time with our friends.

Our daughter Teri called us to let us know that her husband Lynnie’s grandfather had passed away. Our thoughts are with them in this sad time.

Monday night we attended the Pot Luck here at the park. The food was yummy and we met several people staying here. I forgot to take my camera so no photos of this…sorry

The weather has been really cool here so we haven’t been able to spend much time outside.

Wednesday Mark & Dortha invited us to go to the Flea Market with them so we took off and had a great day!

Mark and Mac headed in to the Market

Thursday, Chuck & Kathy called to see if we wanted to go to the Travel Show and have dinner with them. We declined the Travel Show as my Laptop has been acting up and we took it to Best Buy and were told that the hard drive was going out. I opted to try to get everything backed up to my external hard drive before that happened.

We agreed that we would meet them for an early dinner. Good thing, we declined on the show because when they got to the Convention Center, the Travel Show didn’t even start until Friday…LOL

We had a great time with them. We haven’t seen them since we left Kerrville last March.

Friday I finally got my backup completed on the Laptop and off to Best Buy to look for another one. They had a few on sale and I also had a $25.00 certificate to use. I purchased a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. I have friends that have this brand and have only good things to say about them. I decided to try something different since all my HP’s seem to start falling apart about the time the warranty runs out..of course.

Saturday we were up early and off to the park Pancake Breakfast. We needed to hurry because we were heading to South Padre Island with Mark & Dortha and meeting up with Nolan & Donna and Leona & Jerry for lunch at Pirate’s Landing. You all know that I am not a big seafood eater…but I had Stuffed Shrimp and Scallops and they were wonderful. What a difference it makes when you eat fresh seafood instead of the frozen kind you buy in the grocery store..lol

Here we are going into Port Isabel for lunch..
