Happy Hour/Potluck at Arlene & Kevin’s

Saturday we were invited to Kevin & Arlene’s for a Happy Hour/Potluck. Kathy & Chuck will be joining us and they have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary so we wanted to give them a card and make a cake for them.

I volunteered to make the Pineapple Angel food Cake. I got the cake made and had a bowl of fresh Strawberries and a bowl of fresh Pineapple. And to top it off…Cool Whip. The cake is a Weight Watchers recipe that was given to me from a friend at home. Also Dortha has made this cake for us a couple of times since we have been here in the valley.

Paul & Mary, Donna & Nolan, Chuck & Kathy, Mac & I all arrived at Kevin & Arlene’s bearing food…LOL…I know this is hard for everyone to believe…

We had a great time just sitting around visiting. The weather was really nice and it was about 76* outside and sunny.

We talked about doing a Girl’s day out on Friday…it was mentioned doing a Restaurant Supply, a Tea Shop, and a ROPA…now if anyone doesn’t know what a ROPA is…it is a place where you go to shop for clothes…and they are sold by the pound. There are Nueva ROPA’s(new items) and Usada ROPA’s(used items). We all agreed that the Nueva was the one’s we wanted to visit…if for nothing else but to take photos…you will just have to stay tuned for photos of that visit.

Donna & Nolan and Paul & Mary took off and it was starting to get chilly outside so the rest of us headed inside Kevin & Arlene’s RV to visit a little longer.

We had another great day here with our friends!!!
